We are in our Flow Series, talking around extreme ownership. You know, what I’ve found? For people that take extreme ownership and really climb and ascend into the heights of any industry is they know how to face and know how to live between the tension of being all in and doubt. I’ve discovered that doubt is always going to be a voice. No matter how far I go and no matter what I’m facing, and especially if I’m really climbing, if I’m really going after it, if I’m really believing to do great things, I am going to have to learn to deal with doubt and fear.
But, you know, there’s a difference between having a voice that’s speaking to you or thoughts that are coming to you of fear and doubt, and having a governing voice. In other words, you’re never going to escape fear and doubt. It’s a reality. In fact, at Pathfinders, we’re challenging you to go places where you’re definitely going to deal with fear and doubt.
But there’s a difference between fear and doubt being a voice and it being a governing voice. A governing voice means it determines your actions. It determines what you’re going to do. What we want you to be governed by is courage and faith and an expectation that if I go all in and take extreme ownership I’m not going to be disappointed by the outcomes.
How are you handling doubts and fears right now? Are they governing or are they just voices? You know, what I’ve learned is the more I listen to the voice of faith and courage and all in, the more that drowns out and they become background sounds- doubt does and fear does. But the more I give in to doubt and fear, the more they come to the forefront.
And if you’re going to be a climber, if you’re going to be someone who owns your assignment, you’re going to be someone who’s all in in this life, and turn the flow on, the voice that’s loudest and governing needs to be courage and faith.
Remember, pathfinders, we’re here to climb. We’re here to own. We’re here to get there. Let’s not just make a living. Let’s make a difference.
Have a great week. God bless.
